Mumbai is a fantastic city, full of drama and contradictions. I stayed in wonderful Colaba which is the trendy part of Mumbai, whilst there I was approached by a casting agent and asked to be an extra in a bollywood film, what an experience! It is a very friendly city and not half as bad as it''s reputation, conventional sights are thin as it''s a relatively young city but there is still some things to do like watch a bollywood movie, gateway of India/Elephanta Island, nice restaurants, Prince of wales museum. Just going for a walk is an experience, all human life is here and it will always have a special place in my heart. If it is your first time in India may I suggest Delhi, as it has all the sight''s one would want to see when visiting India, lot''s of palaces and history as well as being close to the Taj Mahal, but I would urge you to visit Mumbai if you are familiar with the culture.
