Hello all, totally confused where to start. We visited on 19 dec 2016 to Munnar, actually it was our honeymoon trip and I wanted to make it memorable forever so I opted for Munnar. If you are a hardcore nature lover then do visit Munnar as well as Alleppey backwaters. We stayed at Sterling Resorts at Munnar and Havelli backwaters Resorts at Alleppey, service was awesome. To some extent it was slow at Sterling initially but was fine as the time passed. No one wants to return from Kerala but can''t. Must watch places are Rose Garden, Tea Estate(photo point), Echo point and last but not the least Spice garden famous for all aromatic oils, spices plants & from there one can purchase spices and all. Rose garden where you find different and unseen rare variety of flower plants. Climate was not that cold there in December but was awesome with slight cooling effect. If one is interested in relaxing body and soul then do try the natural spas there, you will definitely find the difference between. Local food is very spicy and delicious, there is everything for vegetarians as well as for non vegetarians ... For vegetarians there is variety of idli, dosa, rasam, iddiam and all and for non veg lovers there is fish curry, fresh fish fried in coconut oil do try it, crabs and all. Local shopping is not that enough as compared to other states. I enjoyed Alleppey most which is 200 km away fm Munnar. Alleppey is famous for its backwaters and I bet you wont''t find peace more then here then in pan INDIA. You will be very amazed to see the life of locals near the backwaters and they teach us how to care for nature. Best season to visit Munnar and Alleppey are in winters and in rainy season lush green environment is at its peak. Last but not the least Kerala is the place where there is everything for everyone like hill station, beaches, temples, tea states, elephant rides, wild life sanctuary and all. So friends do visit Munnar and Alleppey once, you will definitely visit again.

We have visited Munnar from 06 to 07 may 2017.It''s one of best tourist place in Kerala. A very small town. One need to enjoy the climate and And tea plantation in near by area of Munnar on both sides. About 15 km both sides. The sight seeing points are just for namesake. Half day sight seeing is sufficient visiting one or two points. Some shopping in market area can be done for tea and spices. A hill station with characteristic steep rocks. Most resorts are amidst wold flora. Quite a few detours available for visit of neighbouring places including trekking. Don''t expect colonial type hillstation, rather tea plantation based. Its a breath of fresh air
