Bandipur is a National reserve located in the state of Karnataka. It was established in 1931 and from then it has been used for conserving various wildlife animals and birds. The national park is surrounded with natural beauty and a quaint environment. Bandipur National park is located at the foothills of Nilgiris and has Kabini, Nugu and Moyar rivers flowing through the reserve providing the animals with natural source of water. Bandipur national park is now amongst the Biosphere reserves of India as it contains many varieties of wild animals in it. Two more wildlife sanctuaries are attached with Bandipur wildlife sanctuary called the Waynad Sanctuary and the Mudumalai Sanctuary, which also conserve various animals.
