Located at an altitude of 1370 metres above sea level, Bhimtal is a popular holiday destination. It is a picturesque lake located in the district of Nainital in the state of Uttarakhand. This beautiful lake is named after the legendary Bhima of Mahabharata. The best time to visit Bhimtal is from February to April and August to November. Summers arrive in the month of March and last till May. The maximum temperature reaches 27°C. In this appropriate weather the atmosphere of the place is cool and visitors enjoy the weather while exploring the beauty of the lake. Here the monsoon season is also very pleasing and brings a completely different atmosphere to the place which is quite enjoyed by many. The monsoon season remains as it is from the month of June to the month September.

Winters in Bhimtal are cold and starts in the month of October. Till the month of November, the weather of the place remains pleasing but after that the weather changes and the chilly weather is easily felt by the month of December. The minimum temperature at the place is recorded at 2°C and the maximum temperature remains around 15°C.
