Chandipur is a beach destination in Odisha. It is situated in the Baleswar district in the Indian state of Orissa. The Chandipur beach is at a distance of 16 km from the railway station of Baleswar. The Chandipur beach is famous for a unique feature; at the time of ebb tide, the sea water recedes by as much as 1 to 4 km. One can literally notice the sea receding and coming back. This is a rare site. The beach has a rich biodiversity of sea creatures. Even the rare Horseshoe crab can also be spotted on the beaches more towards Mirzapur, a small community and fishing market near the River Budhabalanga. The Chandipur is situated at an elevation of 9.8 feet above the sea level. This tranquil beach resort is immensely beautiful with greenery, wild creepers and green sand dunes. The pleasing breeze sifting through the Kasparian trees gives an immense pleasure to the onlooker. In fact, the whole surrounding creates a delighting music for the ears. The whole experience is unexpectedly pleasing. One can also have a beautiful sight of tiny red crabs lying on the beach when water recedes. The drifting wood and sea shells which are found in abundance on the beach look really appealing.
Here summers are hot and begin in the month of April and continue till May. The temperature may rise to as high as 45°C.
The monsoon in Chandipur begins in May and continues till June. This season is extremely humid and Chandipur has heavy rain fall during this period.
Winter season begins in the month of December and lasts till February. Maximum temperature during this season hovers around 22°C with minimum going to 4°C. It is a pleasant season with cool breeze.
The best time to visit Chandipur is between September and March because of the pleasant cool weather.

The Kolkata airport at a distance of 204 km and the Bhubaneswar airport at a distance of 294 km are the nearest airports to Chandipur. These airports have frequent flight connectivity with various Indian cities. One can take taxi to reach these airports.
The Balalasore railway station at a distance of 16 km is the nearest railway station to Chandipur. This airport lies on the Chennai Calcutta line and is connected with various cities through regular trains.
Balaramgadi Village: Balaramgadi Village is one of three towns in Balaramgadi Marine block of Baleshwar district of Odisha. It is located close to the popular Chandipur beach, which is hardly 2 km away from here, thereby attracting both locals and tourists who come here to spend some rejuvenating time.
Apart from enjoying the scenic vistas of the village, one can indulge in activities like fishing and boating.
