This fort was built in the year 1885 and is spread in an area of 45 acres thus it is a perfect destination for historic lovers. This destination was constructed in Gothic and Mughal architectural styles.

Kasa Fort: The Kasa Fort in Murud Janjira, Maharashtra is one of the most popular tourist destinations in and around the area. The fort, also popular by the name of Padmadurg, is an engineering and architectural marvel, specially taking into consideration the time and conditions it was built in. The fort was built by king Sambhaji, son of the great Maratha ruler, Shivaji. The ferry ride to reach the Kasa Fort is an experience in itself, accompanied by a guide, who provides an insight into the history of the fort. Janjira Fort: Built on an island, 500 m offshore on an oval shaped rock near the port town of Murud, Janjira is one of the strongest marine forts of India. Though the fort is in ruins now, there are a lot of things which are worth seeing, including the 19 rounded bastions, giant canons, a sculpture on the main gate and two reservoirs.
Murud Beach: A beautiful scenic destination, Murud Beach is located at a distance of 5 Km from Murud Janjira and is 1.75 Km long. It is said that this beach is one of the popular beaches of Maharashtra which offers a pleasant environment for tourists visiting at this place.
