  1. The first spot in our list is Alwar in Rajasthan. Situated at a distance of only 165 km, Alwar is known for its rich cultural heritage. The place has ample opportunities for enjoying nature, adventure activities and luxury. Famous for its royal Rajputana architecture, the place also has abundance of flora and fauna.  Experience the serene and majestic nature at the Sariska Tiger Reserve and Siliserh Lake. The best time to visit Alwar is between October to March.
  2. Pushkar in Rajasthan is the second spot in our list. Situated at about 415 km from Delhi, the enchanting city of Pushkar is on the borders of Thar Desert. Famous for the annual camel fair or the Pushkar Mela and the sole Brahma temple, this is one of the offbeat destinations near Delhi. People from across the globe visit this pilgrim site that is surrounded by hills from three sides.  Apart from mythological importance, the city has great architectural heritage.  The best time to visit Pushkar is between October to March.
  3. Shoghi in Himachal Pradesh is next in the list of our series of offbeat destinations near Delhi. It is situated at an altitude of 1790 meters. The hill town is about 330 km away from Delhi and about 13 km away from Shimla. The small suburban town is ideal for people who look for solitude amidst nature. The place is famous for its magnificent views, pleasant climate and beautiful surroundings. The best time to visit is from March to June and from September to November.
  4. Morni Hills situated on the outskirts of Panchkula district of Haryana is a popular picnic destination. It is about 270 km away from Delhi and about 45 km from Chandigarh. This small destination has much to offer for a great weekend getaway. There is a combination of scenic beauty, adventure and fun coupled with the mystery of two large lakes. The best time to visit is from October to April.
  5. Bhimtal in Uttarakhand is next in our list that makes for a good offbeat destination that’s close to Delhi. Situated at a height of 1370 meters, the hill town is about 320 km away from Delhi and 22 km from Nainital. The key attraction is the lake, scenic surroundings, serene and pristine beauty, that calms your mind. There are ample of adventure activities that one can choose to do.   6. Kanatal in Uttarakhand is another great option if you are looking for a quick getaway from Delhi. This is a small village surrounded by apple orchards, and rich vegetation. The place is popular for the ample adventure activities it offers like trekking, and valley crossing. It is situated at an altitude of 2590 meters and is about 300 km away from Delhi, 78 km from Dehradun, 40 km from Mussoorie and 12 km from Chamba. Kanatal experiences a pleasant climate throughout the year. One usually visits this picturesque town during March to September and December to February to enjoy the snow.
  7. The historic city of Orchha in Madhya Pradesh is famous for its palaces, temples and their architectural splendor. Located on the banks of Betwa river, the endearing forests are a key attraction of this town. The erstwhile capital of Bundela rulers is about 498 km away from Delhi and 13 km from Jhansi. The place is famous for its temples from 16th and 17th century.  The best time to visit Orchha is in winters from October to March.
