As the world is gradually opening up, travel enthusiasts can’t wait to hit the road, but before starting, they must ensure to travel safe and make a shield through protective gears, precautions and much more in their joy ride.
Coronavirus has changed the way we travel. It is now imperative that we follow certain protocols to protect ourselves and travel safe. Keeping this in mind, here is a checklist of items that you must remember to ensure a safe travel:
Protective Gear: Be it masks, protective cases, or gloves – it is important to pack the protective gear or kit in your bags. Wearing a mask is the most effective way to stop the spread of coronavirus. Most places have already made it mandatory to wear masks in all public spaces, but you need to make sure you pack at least a pair of gloves as well.
Hygiene Kit: Be it hand sanitizers and disinfecting wipes, personal water bottle, mug and disposable crockery, travel-sized disinfectant spray or personal hand soap – pack them all before you hit the road. Carrying a travel-sized sanitizer and some disinfecting wipes for commonly touched surfaces will a long way in protecting you and your family. And yes, don’t forget to use your own bottle, mug and cutlery while on travel.
Snack it up: Pack enough snacks for the journey and for any stopovers you might have. If you’re on a short-haul trip, it’s best to eat before you hit the road, so that your mask can stay on while you stop for your coffee or chai breaks.
Medication and toiletries: Pack all medications you might need in a plastic carry-on, with a note from your doctor for any medications that could require a prescription at your destination. If you must quarantine upon arrival, it’s best to have every medication you’ll need for the duration of your quarantine or if you get infected at any point.
